CBSE Class X results declared on 29th May Thursday…

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the Class 10 board examination results on Thursday.

Scores of students were seen at Internet cafes and calling dedicated telephone numbers to know how they had fared in the examination soon after the results were declared at 8 a.m.

This year, 765,095 students, including 4,49,742 boys, appeared for the Class 10 examination in India and abroad. These students from 8,199 schools had written papers at 2,624 centres in March.

Girls outshone boys yet again in the class 10 board examinations this year with an impressive pass percentage of 87.96 percent. Boys’ pass percentage was 86.46 percent.

Out of the six regions, Chennai topped the list with a pass percentage of 95.26 followed by Ajmer – 94.22 percent, Allahabad – 89.10 percent, Panchkula – 89.07, Delhi – 82.87 percent and Guwahati 57.29 percent.


A total of 7,65,095 candidates, including 4,49,742 boys, had registered for the exam held in March this year.

The results have been put out on the CBSE website, www.cbse.nic.in and www.cbseresults.nic.in.

The board had announced the results of the Chennai region on May 27. Results of the rest five region, including Delhi, were announced today at 8am.

In Delhi region of the board, 2,19,796 students had registered for the Class X exam. The test was conducted at 2,624 centres across the country.

There were 373 visually-challenged students in Class X.

The CBSE has already decided to increase the compartmental examination chances to five from the earlier three.
